
Irish Federation of Make-Up Artists (IFMA) is a non-profit organisation. IFMA is the only representative organisation for the profession of Make-Up artists in Ireland, IFMA provides a very extensive service to its members. These services include representation, advisory, networking and support, training/educational, competitions, social events and discount schemes. These services are not limited to Ireland, but take account of worldwide events and development within the profession with direct links to London, and New York.IFMA are working vigorously to strengthen the voice of the Federation itself. Our current members are a backbone of support, helping to organize the launch of IFMA events and it’s first national competition! IFMA have developed relationships with leading make-up companies such as MAC, Make-Up 4 Ever, Bobbi Brown, Nars to name a few. These relationships allow for members of IFMA to avail of high product discount schemes directly for pro artists only. We also provide awareness and training in the latest collections from these leading houses.
The Federation provides an Advice Line whereby members can get help or advice relating to trade or employment issues. The Federation issues a regular Newsletter updating members on key issues and developments in the industry. The Federation provides guidelines for its members on such issues as Health & Safety, Payment of Wages and a Code of Ethics. It also provides a discount scheme for Health Insurance and private Insurance. IFMA is the only official voice for Irish Make-Up Artists.
Full membership is available to all make-up artists and can be claimed as a business expenses. Membership application forms are available from the Secretary at IFMA, please contact us if you wish to become a member or would like more information
Membership runs from January to December of each year. As a subscription to a professional body, this fee is allowable as a business expense in your end-of-year accounts. Full membership of IFMA for one year is €50. IFMA is a non-profit organization.
